SUMMARY:Exhibition: A History Through Objects: Research and Innovation at the University of Birmingham
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/205098
DESCRIPTION:Since its origin, researchers at the University of Birmingham have created and discovered new things, improved people’s health and provided new ways of understanding the world and our place in it. From the sciences and the arts, their ground-breaking achievements have been recognised and honoured at national and international level, including the Nobel Prize.\n
This exhibition showcases a range of historical and contemporary examples of research and discovery, created in Birmingham with global reach - affecting the lives of millions of people around the world. Through objects, the exhibition tells the stories of the research itself, the people behind it and those whose lives have been changed by it.\n
