On International Women’s Day 2021, join the Institute for Metabolism & Systems Research (IMSR) for a community-led discussion focused on inequity in women’s healthcare. We will explore what science and lived experience advocates are doing to raise awareness of barriers and stigmas that impact on women’s health and wellbeing.

Using Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) as a case study on which to frame this broader discussion, the DAISy-PCOS research team and diverse women involved in our community leadership programme will share, discuss and debate how gender and cultural based factors influence medical gaslighting, healthcare access & management and even the progress of research itself.

This is an inclusive event, all welcome. Join our audience Q&A and shares your own thoughts online using @daisypcos #IWD2021

Organized by the DAISy-PCOS Research & Community Leadership Team in partnership with the UoB’s Women’s Network.
