DESCRIPTION:Join the Gender Equality Research group us on 27 March as we discuss current University of Birmingham-based research on violence against women and girls and explore challenges and opportunities, including funding. \n
 For this event we'll be hearing from researchers working on various projects to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). They'll present on experience in securing Home Office funding and give other perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for researchers who are interested in interdisciplinary research on VAWG.\n
 We are delighted to announce that our speakers will include:\n

Professor Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay, Professor of Economics and Lead for IGI 21st Century Transnational Crime theme
Dr Juste Abramovaite, Research Associate and Convenor for IGI 21st Century Transnational Crime theme
Dr Joht Singh Chandan, Clinical Associate Professor in Public Health, Institute of Applied Health Research

 This is an informal, 'show & tell' event for University of Birmingham researchers, students, collaborators and colleagues, and those in organisations that work with academic research on gender equality. Our aim is to encourage discussions, networking, research ideation and collaboration and sharing ideas.\n
