DESCRIPTION:Recreate the sounds and movements of Nineteenth Century Lancashire cotton machinery in this gently paced and easy one hour dance workshop for beginners. You will learn four steps and put these together to make a complete dance as performed by the contemporary mill workers. Preceded by an illustrated talk in the Cadbury Research Library, 'Cotton Mills and Clogs'. \n \n No charge, no clogs, and absolutely no experience required! \n \n Please bring hard soled shoes with up to one inch heels (no metal taps) – suitable for most ages - not advisable for those with knee, hip or back problems. Wear loose comfortable clothes.\n
