Andrew Moffat is the teacher behind 'No Outsiders', the educational resource that became the focus for anti-LGBT protests outside Birmingham primary schools in 2019. Andrew has been a teacher for over 20 years and in 2017 was awarded a MBE for services to equality and diversity in education.

In 2019 while protests were emerging about his work, Andrew was listed as the only UK teacher in the top 10 Varkey Foundation Global Teacher Prize and later in the year he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Worcester for his work on equality. Today Andrew works as Personal Development Lead for Excelsior Trust and continues to teach No Outsiders lessons in all the schools in the trust as well as other schools around the UK. Andrew will talk honestly about the journey that No Outsiders has been on, and how he sees the future of equality education in UK schools.
