Attendee Requirements: Preferably attendees will be studying A-Level Biology

About: Have you ever wondered where our medicines come from? Do you know the history of drugs like aspirin and botox? This masterclass will give students a chance to explore these questions and to learn about drug discovery and development. 

This fascinating Masterclass will also provide an opportunity to think about the role of pharmaceutical companies, the significant costs of research, and discuss ethical tensions in prescribing decisions, the role of NICE, conflicts of interest, and why doctors need to interpret evidence and understand pharmacology.

Additional Information: Individual bookings can be made by students in Year 12 and 13. Please note you may not be allocated all the places you request depending on availability.
