Tuesday 19 January 2021 (13:15-14:15)
Write what you don't know

Year Group: 12 and 13

Subject(s): Creative Writing, English

Attendee Requirements: None

About: Combining a diverse range of reading and writing exercises, this Masterclass will challenge the age-old piece of Creative Writing advice 'write what you know'.

Instead, by inviting students to look beyond the realms of their own personal experience, this session will reveal how storytelling can help us to expand our horizons, and to learn about - and empathise with - other cultures. The session is well suited for students studying English or Creative Writing at A Level.

Speaker: Dr Ruth Gilligan

How to book: Bookings should be made by the school coordinator using the booking form available on the Masterclasses programme page.

To find out more about any of the Masterclasses, please email the Masterclass team.
