Carla Rees is the UK’s leading low flute specialist, having developed an international reputation for her innovative work. She is Artistic Director of rarescale, an ensemble which celebrates its 10th Anniversary in 2013, and Programme Director for the British Flute Society. Carla is joined by pianist Xenia Pestova, who has commissioned, premiered, recorded and broadcast numerous new works, and is a frequent collaborator with Carla and the University of Birmingham.
