SUMMARY:Exhibition: FOKA WOLF - WHY ARE WE STUCK IN HOSPITAL?
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/203499
DESCRIPTION:An impossible maze, with no end, forms the basis of an installation and billboard campaign by Birmingham artist and activist Foka Wolf.\n
Produced and exhibited by Ikon and developed in response to a project by the University’s School of Social Policy and rights-based organisation Changing Our Lives, Why Are We Stuck in Hospital?  illustrates the invisibility of people with learning disabilities and / or autistic people who live in hospital settings for long periods of time, often for many years and with no planned date to leave.\n
Why Are We Stuck in Hospital? is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research HS&DR programme.\n
This event is presented as part of A Place to Call Home – a new public programme of exhibitions, activities and events exploring what home means to all of us. Understand diverse experiences through the eyes of people who have lived through them and find out about the latest social justice research at the University of Birmingham.\n
