DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind Halloween family workshop rooted in University of Birmingham research.\n
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind Halloween workshop rooted in University of Birmingham research. Dr Catherine Lester advocates for the safe exploration of horror films and television tailored for children within the familiar space of home.\n
Taking the research as inspiration, artist Sarah Hamilton Baker leads a family workshop, carefully crafted to address parental concerns while fostering a safe and immersive space for children to engage with the genre.\n
Join us for a screening of short films and clips, fun and spooky hands-on activities, and an opportunity for parents to engage in thoughtful discussions about children’s horror.\n
This event is presented as part of A Place to Call Home a new public programme of exhibitions, activities and events exploring what home means to all of us. Understand diverse experiences through the eyes of people who have lived through them and find out about the latest social justice research at the University of Birmingham\n
