SUMMARY:Would a computer get it?
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/211245
DESCRIPTION:Ever wondered how an AI understands the ‘messy, fleshy stuff’ of being a person?\n
Join artist Sadie Barnett for a hands-on collage workshop, where you'll explore the intersection of technology and identity. First, create a collage using only pre-selected words and phrases inspired by computer prompts. Then, break free to represent your 'true' self using any text, stamps, and stencils you choose. \n
Inspired by University of Birmingham's AI Futures programme at The Exchange and the Stuart Hall Archive Project, this unique blend of structure and self-expression invites you to explore both the limits and possibilities of identity in a tech-driven world.\n

This event is presented as part of AI Futures at The Exchange. Running February to November 2024, the programme explores the brave new world of artificial intelligence through the lens of University of Birmingham research.\n
