SUMMARY:Weekend Workshop: Living with Breathlessness
UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/196737
DESCRIPTION:Breathlessness is a frightening experience, but for many people with lung disease it is an everyday one. Pulmonary fibrosis (lung scarring) is a serious, life-limiting condition where the lungs become progressively stiffer and smaller. It affects around 70,000 people in the UK.\n
In this creative workshop you’ll work with a local artist and University of Birmingham researchers and use craft and creative writing to reflect on experiences of breathlessness in daily life and the role oxygen plays in our lives and health.\n
This activity is presented as part of The Air We Breathe,a  public programme at The Exchange, with an exhibition, activities and events that explore the close relationships between us, our environment and our air quality. From a hydrogen train to a sci-fi forest, discover the work being done by the University of Birmingham to deliver clean air both here in Birmingham and around the world and how you can get involved.\n
