CEPLER's work in collaboration with solicitors, barristers and other legally-related organisations is fundamental to achieving the objectives of the CEPLER Framework. Through these partnerships, CEPLER is enhancing our provision of student activities and opportunities, and engaging in key research on the legal profession.

The profession and pro bono

CEPLER's practitioner partners are critical to providing the range and diversity of projects we offer to students through the Pro Bono Group. For more information view the full range of current pro bono activities.  

The profession and mooting/advocacy

The chance to participate in mooting, debating and negotiating is invaluable for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. There are few opportunities for students to gain experience of court practices, and the involvement of professional solicitors and barristers, both in judging the moots and debates and providing feedback, has an inestimable impact on participants' skills and confidence. The profession and careers

A key CEPLER objective is to provide a broad and diverse scope of activities that enable our students to develop their skills and experience  and enhance their employability. We have been privileged to welcome many practitioners from the legal and legally-related professions to deliver lectures, seminars and workshops, or to participate in discussion panels. In addition, Work Experience Placements are crucial to providing students with real world law experience and a significant boost to their employability.
