Edd Kyi is the Multimedia Learning Experiences Developer (EdTech Lead) within the Centre for Teaching and Learning, where he leads the vision, development and delivery of innovative digital learning experiences across STEM disciplines. His work focuses on learning experience design, multimedia production, technology-enhanced pedagogy, and developing scalable digital solutions that enrich both staff and student learning.
Biography
Edd oversees the EdTech team, driving its strategic direction and supporting colleagues across the University to design high-quality, engaging and pedagogically grounded learning resources. His work spans interactive simulations, VR and immersive teaching models, multimedia-rich laboratory teaching assets, Canvas design frameworks, and advising on best practice in digital education.
With extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, project leadership and collaborative design, Edd works closely with academics, technicians and professional services teams to enhance digital-first and technology-supported teaching. He also designs and deliver training, practical workshops and digital capability development to help academic staff build confidence with educational technologies.
Edd's work has been recognised through multiple awards, including the LearningSci Teaching Innovations Award and the HEFi Digital Innovations Award. He maintains a strong focus on emerging trends in digital learning, ensuring our practice evolves alongside new opportunities in immersive, interactive and data-informed teaching.
