Family Fun Events - Mary Anning at the Museum

Mary Anning At The Museum

Meet Mary Anning at the Museum this half term!

The Lapworth Museum of Geology is currently housing the Mary Anning maquette during its current road trip across the country. Join us on Monday 24th October as a Mary Anning re-enactor tells us all about her extraordinary life and discoveries.

Get hands-on with Ichthyosaur activities and artifacts with researchers from the University of Birmingham and discover what we know about these marine reptiles.

Have you made any fossil discoveries that you would like to identify? The museum staff will be hosting an identification stand throughout the day. Check the timetable below for times and details.

This event is free to attend. No booking is required.
