Bridget - Scale Tree

Part of the Lapworth Lecture Series

Speaker: Bridget Warren, University of Birmingham

Please note the new start time of 5.30pm

“How will terrestrial ecosystems respond to climate change” is a simple sounding question without any clear answers. But asking the question itself, and thinking about why it’s so difficult to answer, can tell you a lot about how our planet works, and how we know about it. Bridget will be using forest response to atmospheric CO2 to talk about the ways climate has changed through geologic time, and how we can look at both modern and fossil plants – and everything in between – to learn about how science both asks and answers questions.

All are welcome to attend and there is no admission charge

The Lecture will be held in Aston Webb A Block, Lecture Theatre WG05.
