Future Possibilities Lab
Lapworth Museum are working with Future Possibilities Lab to test out co-production between artists and academics at the University of Birmingham.
The project will explore the use of geological data, technology and new artistic practice, making connections about deep earth and people’s relation to it. Artists Barbara Walker (Diaspora Pavilion, Venice Biennale 2017 and recipient of a Jerwood Drawing Prize 2017), Divya Kasturi and Shaheen Ahmed will take part in research, workshops, public sharing's and discussion with academics and communities to test out ideas and develop work-in-progress digital data art. A final seminar will take place at Lapworth Museum in March 2018 to share findings and make connections with BAME communities in Birmingham.
