Delegate Registration includes colloquium attendance, morning and afternoon refreshment breaks, lunch, the Welcome Reception on Sunday and the colloquium Banquet on Tuesday evening (pre-registation to the social events is essential).

What to do if you can't pay with a credit/debit card

If you are a member of the University of Birmingham and would like to register using your project/account code contact the Events Team, contact@bbaa2020.com with your details.

If your place of work or place of study is paying for your registration fees and require an invoice we need the following information:

  • Full invoice address
  • Contact details for your finance department (name, email address and phone number)
  • VAT Number
  • Purchase Order Number (and copy of the Purchase Order)
  • Delegate name
  • Delegate email address
  • Organisation
  • Registration category
  • Attendance to social events
  • Dietary requirements

Once you have all the information above send the details to the Events Team, contact@bbaa2020.com, who will process your registration.

BBAA IX Bursaries

The BBAA IX Colloquium Committee are pleased to be able to offer a number of student bursaries.

The bursaries will cover:

  • BBAA IX Colloquium registration fee including attendance to the Welcome Reception and Colloquium Banquet
  • Accommodation at the Vale Village for a maximum of 5 nights (check in 19 July – check out 24 July)

Eligibility: 

  • Bursaries are restricted to PhD or MS students currently enrolled in an accredited programme. Post-doctoral fellows may be considered upon availability of funds
  • The student must be the first author of an abstract/paper submitted to BBAA IX
  • The student is still eligible to apply if decision on acceptance is still pending
  • The award will be given only to students whose abstract has been accepted for an oral or poster presentation
  • Full paper submission is required for eligibility (papers must be submitted by the deadline)

How to apply:

You can apply for the bursaries during the extended abstract submission process, see point 11 on the 'How to submit your paper guide'. Please complete your current level of study to ensure you are included in the selection process. 

The deadline for bursary applications and extended abstract submissions is Monday 16 December 2019.

Announcements will be made week commencing 17 February 2020.

If you have applied for a bursary please do not register for the conference before the awards are announced, if you are successful the Events Team will handle your registration and accommodation booking separately.
