Abstract Submission

We are pleased to welcome abstracts for the conference. 

Successful authors will have to submit a five minute video which will be uploaded onto a YouTube channel managed by the BIRA Event Team.  There will also be a few slots available for selected authors to present their abstract live during the event. 

Abstract Guidelines

All abstracts should be submitted using the submission form below. 

Abstracts should be written in plain text only and be a maximum of 250 words, images and tables are not allowed in the abstract.

Abstract submission will close on Monday 3 May 2021.

Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance during week commencing 24 May 2021. 

All correspondence regarding the abstracts will be sent to the submitting author.  Please note that presenters of abstracts are not automatically registered for the conference, please remember to complete your registration.

All abstracts will be available to conference delegates as a PDF.

Presenter Information

Video Presentations

The video should be no more than five minutes. If recording on a phone please have the screen in landscape rather than portrait.

Ensure author contact information is displayed at the end of your presentation.

By submitting your video presentation you give consent for this to be broadcast during the conference and on a YouTube channel organised by BIRA Event Team.

Submit your video to the Event Team, academic.conferences@contacts.bham.ac.uk, no later than Monday 14 June 2021. 

Presentation Prizes

We are pleased to offer prizes for the Best Submitted Abstracts, the prizes are open to PhD Students and Postdoc Researchers. To apply for the prize the presenting author must be eligible, you can apply during the abstract submission process.
