Presenter Information

Oral Presentations

  • Oral presentations are allocated 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes questions
  • Presentations should be created using Microsoft PowerPoint and set for widescreen (16:9) layout
  • The use of personal laptops is discouraged, please bring your presentations on a memory stick 
  • Presentations should be loaded on the PC in the room you are presenting during the break before your session.  Please ensure you name your presentation with the presenter initial and surname
  • With authors permission, the presentation slides (PDF's) will be made available after the conference. If you are happy for your slides to be included please leave a copy of your presentation on the PC desktop
  • There will be a prize for the Best Oral presentation

Poster Presentations

  • Posters should be A0 portrait (841x1189 mm)
  • Posters can be displayed from Monday at 09:15 and should be removed on Tuesday by 16:00, push pins will be provided, any posters not collected will be disposed of after the conference
  • Posters should have their abstract number on the bottom right corner, use the abstract number allocated in the programme
  • Posters will be located in and around the refreshment area
  • Poster presenters should be at their poster during the Attended Poster Sessions on Monday or Tuesday
  • Poster presenters are allocated 3 minutes followed by 2 minutes questions
  • There will be a prize for  the Best Poster presentation

PechaKucha Presentations

  • Selected abstracts have been invited to present during the PechaKucha sessions
  • Each presenter has two minutes and two slides
  • Practice your timing
  • Include your name and poster number on your first slide, the second slide should be a single key outcome/aspect
  • Keep slides simple. Less is more. Entice the audience to visit your poster
  • Presentations should be created using Microsoft PowerPoint and set for widescreen (16:9) layout
  • All presentations must be emailed to the Events Team,, prior to the conference no later than Wednesday 3rd April 2019
  • This does not replace your printed poster
