Will I be able to meet my team mates before the event?

We are holding a pre-event study day on 21st May 4pm – 8pm. There will be a chance to meet with team mates and mentors to develop your case presentation, as well as food and refreshments provided.

From 27th April until the event day you will also have access to discussion group and be able to share documents using University of Birmingham's virtual learning environment "Canvas".

You can make use of other social media if you wish.

Which Professions could I be working with?

Groups will be a mixture of senior students from healthcare professions.

Can I be in a team with my course mates?

To gain a realistic spread of professions across teams we will be mixing students from participating institutions across the teams.

How will I meet my team mates if we are not studying at the same university?

See question 1 above. The scenario you will be working on will be revealed on Canvas prior to the pre-event study day.

How much time are teams expected to spend on the preparation?

The time needed to prepare your presentations will vary from team to team. As a general guide we expect that teams will need to spend approximately 8-10 hours in preparation.

What help and support will be available?

Mentors will be available from all the relevant professions. They will be present at the preparation evening on 21stMay and available by email in the run up to the main event.
