Professor Janet Lord, Director of the Centre for Musculoskeletal Ageing Research appeared on the BBC’s How to Stay Young programme on Thursday 7th April at 9pm, offering her expertise on the ‘Sit to Rise’ test, an easy-to-administer test, measuring flexibility and strength in older people. Clips from the show, which was presented by Angela Rippon, have been wide-reaching, and featured on a number of other programmes including the The One Show (Thursday 7th of April), BBC Woman’s Hour (listen at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b075mdvm), and in the Guardian.
This month the MRC have featured an article, written by Janet herself detailing the experience of working with the BBC and Angeal Rippon to produce the hour long show. The article which can be found in the June/July 2016 edition of MRC Life (pages 6 and 7). Read the article here.
