Jayne manages BITC’s corporate engagement in the West Midlands, focusing on the key issues of education & young people, employability and enterprise. Collectively, BITC brokers 0.5 billion hours a year of employee time in to largely disadvantaged communities for mutual benefit. Jayne started her career in the private sector as a management trainee with SavaCentre (a Sainsbury’s and BHS partnership) back in the 1980s and was part of the team that launched the largest hypermarket in Europe in London Colney back in 1990. Moving to Public Health in the NHS in the nineties, Jayne continued to work on key projects, eg the emergency health plan for the G8 Summit in Birmingham in 1998. Then she worked for a national charity, the Foundation for Conductive Education. The last decade has been served with BITC bringing together Jayne’s collective knowledge and experience of the private, public and voluntary sectors.
