Wet Ink Ensemble performing

BEAST and SOUNDkitchen joined forces this weekend (23-24 January 2015) to present two evenings of electronic music with artists from Birmingham, the UK, Portugal, Italy, Iceland and the US.

The first night featured performances from Sarah Hughes, Kostis Kilymis and Samuel Rodgers, alongside Eliot Bates and Thor Magnusson.

On the Saturday night, Angela Da Ponte premiered ‘Ad eternum’, an electroacoustic work for 8-channel tape exploring the traditional songs and ritual chants of the Azores.

Wet Ink Ensemble (Joshua Modney, Eric Wubbels and Sam Pluta) performed ‘Hydra’, while Chris Herbert and Nicholas Bullen exchanged found sound to create beautiful textures for extended listening.
