C-LINK symposium

The Crime Linkage International NetworK (C-LINK) which was set up and hosted by the School of Psychology in 2013, presented the findings of its two international research projects during a C-LINK symposium at the 17th Conference of the International Academy of Investigative Psychology in New York last month.

The findings relate to Crime Linkage, a police practice with its basis in psychology whereby practitioners try to link crimes together for form series on the basis of similar and distinctive crime scene behaviour. The network was founded by Dr Jessica Woodhams following the award of a Leverhulme Trust International Networks grant and involved the collaboration of police forces and academics from seven different countries.
