The first CSRS workshop took place on 19 and 20 June 2018 at the University of Birmingham.

Presentation at the CSRS workshop

This important event brought together, for the very time, the researchers, the four members of the CSRS International Advisory Board (Professor Rashida Manjoo, Professor Juan Mendez, Professor Helen Neville and Professor Michael Ungar) and the representatives/heads of five of the organizations that are participating in the project (Profamilia and Ruta Pacifica de las Mujeres in Colombia, the Justice Reconciliation Project in Uganda and Snaga Žene and the Centre for Democracy and Transitional Justice in Bosnia-Herzegovina).

Discussion at the CSRS workshop

The workshop provided the researchers with a valuable opportunity to present the project and the progress made so far, to listen to presentations from all of the participants and to discuss particular aspects of the project, including the new ecological model of transitional justice that CSRS will ultimately develop.

Thank you to everyone who attended the workshop. Thank you also to Bryony Pike and Thomas Stocks – the project’s administrative assistants – for their incredible work.
