The first CSRS workshop will take place at the University of Birmingham on 19 and 20 June 2018.

The participants will include the four members of the CSRS International Advisory Board and key individuals from the various NGOs and organizations that are participating in the project. The workshop will bring together for the very first time everyone involved in CSRS and it will create invaluable opportunities for exchange of ideas, discussion and networking.

Additionally, on 21 June, the CSRS research team will be hosting - with funding from the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of Birmingham - a second workshop entitled 'Interdisciplinary Reflections on Adversity, Trauma and Resilience'. This second workshop will draw together scholars and researchers from across the University of Birmingham who work on resilience and related issues, as well as the members of the CSRS International Advisory Board and some of the NGO partners.

The workshop will include keynote addresses from two world-leading experts on resilience - Professor Michael Ungar (Dalhousie University, Canada) and Professor David Chandler (University of Westminster, UK).
