Since at least the 18th Century a large part of Stratford-upon-Avon’s fortune has rested upon the name of its most famous son.

In this video, which ties in with an exhibition organised with the Shakespeare Birthday Trust, Birmingham researchers Tara Hamling and Cathryn Enis explain how the Shakespeare memorabilia sold to Stratford’s visitors has and hasn’t changed over the course of generations.
