The University of Birmingham Space Society was started to engage the student body in all matters related to the space industry.

Space Society moon landing

We are one of the University’s newest societies and aim to motivate, engage and enable members to get involved in the UK, European and global space communities. With us you will challenge yourself to develop innovative ideas and engage with industry experts. Through our outreach programme you will inspire the next generation to pursue STEM in higher education. Through competing in rocket design, Martian rovers, space law and medicine, or attending our events with experts in the space sector, you will take your first steps towards your future careers and take a giant leap as leaders in the space community. We hope that by engaging students from different fields that the Society will enable learning and raise awareness in the diverse career paths available in the sector.

The Society is now a brand new registered EPS Society and so will have a stand at the EPS Societies Fair!

At the Fair, our committee will be on hand to answer questions about and provide information on our events, socials and meetings, as well as how you can get involved. We are currently preparing the programme for our very first semester and will let you know our plans soon. Watch this space!

We are very excited by the opportunities that Space Soc will present and we would love to see you at the first meeting. With strong engagement from students, the society will thrive and members will grow to become leaders in thriving space industry.

If this sounds like your cup of tea; sign up on Facebook. Ad Astra!!!

This is your chance to be part of something brand new and I look forward to seeing you!
