Do you want to use your experience to manage a package of quantum technology-based sensor developments for navigation or timing applications? University of Birmingham Enterprise Ltd is looking for an organised and communicative individual with proven ability to liaise with academic researchers.

The University of Birmingham has recently been awarded funding from EPSRC for the UK Quantum Technology Hub Sensors and Timing (QT Hub) in collaboration with the universities of Glasgow, Imperial, Nottingham, Southampton, Strathclyde and Sussex, British Geological Survey and National Physical Laboratory.

Managing both the delivery from University of Birmingham and a selection of research partners within the QT Hub, the Project Manager position will have responsibility for a >£2M budget and achieving a subset of the QT Hub’s deliverables and KPIs. She/he will be closely involved in planning, monitoring and reporting the research and will have the skills necessary to assist, influence and negotiate with stakeholders including senior academics, professional services colleagues and industrial collaborators.

The post could either be part time (50%) or full time (combining 2 similar roles), to be agreed with the successful applicant, and is for 3 years, limited by project funding.
