At the first in-person graduation ceremonies in Birmingham's Great Hall since 2019, Chiara Coppola was awarded her doctoral degree in person. Chiara's thesis is entitled A New Analysis of the Scholia Photiana in the Pseudo-Oecumenian Catena Tradition. In it, she examines the text and sources of these scholia added to commentaries on the Pauline Epistles in the ninth or tenth century and identifies twenty-five scholia from Photius not previously recognised by scholars. In due course, her thesis will be made available on the University of Birmingham's eTheses repository. Chiara was one of three PhD candidates graduating in person at today's ceremony.
