The University of Birmingham is pleased to invite you to attend this Public Debate on Tuesday 21 June 2016 from 16.00 - 17.00 in the Bramall Music Building, where Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP, Leader of the House of Commons, will speak on behalf of Vote Leave and Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP, former Shadow Europe Minister, will represent Britain Stronger in Europe.

Introduced by Professor Saul Becker, the speakers will be asked to make opening statements before a 'Question Time'-style debate. Audience members are encouraged to pre-submit their questions to help shape the discussion.

The decision being made by the UK electorate will have wide-ranging and long-lasting consequences economically and politically. The University is taking a neutral stance in the referendum campaign by acting as a facilitator of informed debate, which is designed to enable you to make a well-informed choice before entering the polling booths on 23 June 2016. This public debate is the culmination of a series of debates and other activities in recent weeks – all of which you can find out more on our referendum website.
