This Science City Research Alliance (SCRA) event is aimed at participants from business and industry.  It is designed to provide more information about some of the schemes that are available to help improve the cost effectiveness of research and development and to support the development of relationships between industry and key academics from the universities of Birmingham and Warwick.

In addition to a complimentary breakfast and entrance to the Motorcycle Museum itself, the agenda will cover:

  • The Manufacturing Advisory Service - West Midlands (MAS-WM)
  • Knowledge Transfer Partnerships
  • Technology Strategy Board - grants for R&D funding
  • R&D tax credits

The Science City Research Alliance is a strategic union between the West Midlands' two leading research universiteis, Warwick and Birmingham.  The aim of this alliance is to pool expertise, work collaboratively on testing, analysis, research and development and engage with business and industry, giving access to the latest thinking, research and state-of-the-art equipment in this field.
