Music. I love to play violin and piano and this was a natural progression for me.

When I was 7. I tried it for the first time on a family scout activity camp. My dad loved it and soon after he joined the local club. Myself, my mum and brothers started a couple of years after.

My team mate Alison Williamson, because I was young and inexperienced when I first joined the team and she had plenty of experience. We also train together at least twice a week. She has taught me a lot and given me much advice.

The opening ceremony – that’s the beginning and the opportunity to get rid of all the excitement before the competition starts.
