Personal Skills Award (PSA)

The Personal Skills Award (PSA) is the University of Birmingham’s recognised employability programme for undergraduate students.

The award supports students from all disciplines to develop, recognise and articulate their skills in preparation for real-world recruitment processes.

The award-winning programme allows students to gain recognition for participation in extra-curricular activities. There is also an educational component which supports students to reflect on and effectively articulate their skills in graduate recruitment processes.

We encourage employers to take part in the Personal Skills Award (PSA). We offer employer partner opportunities (reviewed in July/August of each year) for a select number of employers to help support with the PSA assessment process. The employer supporter package gives employers the opportunity to share information about their organisation to students undertaking the award, and to share their knowledge of graduate recruitment processes.
