Delivering Services and Outcomes

Introduction

The aim of this module is to ensure you understand how to operationalize strategy and policy. It will cover the management of people and resources to achieve service outcomes, and will detail the organisational design and development required to achieve this implementation. The module will also cover the allocation of resources, knowledge management and work processes required to deliver effective services.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module you should be able to:

  • Design appropriate service delivery interventions that meet commissioning programme outcomes and objectives;
  • Identify the necessary actions to operationalise strategy and to allocate resources to service interventions that deliver organisational strategy;
  • Shape organisational design and align organizational processes, performance metrics and reward mechanisms to support strategic direction and the effective delivery of services and outcomes;
  • Identify how appropriate use of work flow processes, Lean techniques and analysis, and use of technology can improve service performance and achievement of outcomes.
