Performance Management

This module defines the theoretical frameworks and data, which underpin and support performance management. Students will gain practical skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance management in the public service sector.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module participants will be able to:

  • Explain how organisations can adapt themselves to deliver better performance outcomes in relation to resources and public service management
  • Develop appropriate performance measures for public service delivery
  • Learn from organisational performance in order to improve service delivery and outcomes
  • Gather and synthesise data from service users and other public organisations in a coherent manner in order to prioritise service outcomes
