This practice oriented module includes an introduction to the concepts of ergonomics, starting from the principles of anthropometry and fitness for purpose.

The module team adopts a holistic approach to the design of systems that involve interaction between people, hardware, software and the provision of information in all forms.

The module design follows a triangulation approach where students learn to adopt different perspectives to ensure that systems are usable for people of all abilities and levels of physical capability.
