This module will engage you in understanding and critically appraising current literature in the different approaches to the concept of dyslexia and dyslexia support concerning:

  • definitions around the concept of dyslexia
  • definitions and their relationship with identifying learners with dyslexia
  • support for learners with dyslexia with the use of specialist dyslexia teaching approaches
  • support for learners with dyslexia using the Graduated Approach 

Assessment

A written assignment of 4,000 words (100%) and 5 hours of teaching practice.
