This module is primarily concerned with developing your understanding and critical appraisal of current research and literature related to the underlying concepts and practice related to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be supported to identify, through examination of current research and literature, aspects of relevant developments in theory and practice. Specific topics of research, linked to practice will be identified to reflect current educational / SEND issues and these will change from year to year. You will also develop skills which will enable you to read and understand research results, and in addition critically analyse and evaluate existing research in SEND.
