This module will build on your learning about statistical principles and methods. Through the use of data sets, students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills of data methods related to the evidence synthesis.
By the end of the module you should be able to:
- Understand the statistical basis of meta-analysis;
- Apply meta-analysis methods to different forms of outcome data (ie binary, continuous and survival);
- Explore statistical heterogeneity using stratified meta-analysis, meta-regression and relate methods;
- Understand the basis of statistical methods related to the synthesis of diagnostic test data and the Bayesian approach to evidence synthesis.
