Award Description

Please note: as the BCCG Foundation is an a process of reorganisation awards for Masters degree studies have been suspended. 

Since 1983 the Foundation, created by the British Chamber of Commerce in Germany (BCCG), offers scholarships to British and German students who plan to study in the other’s country. 

The Foundation provides financial support and partial scholarships to young British and German nationals for study or research in the Federal Republic of Germany or the United Kingdom respectively. In this way it seeks to promote understanding between the peoples and the furtherance of cultural relations between the two countries.

Value of Award

Successful candidates will receive a BCCG Foundation Scholarship Award in the form of a one-off payment (value varies). The award is intended to provide supplementary financial support, not to defray the full cost of the proposed course of study or research.

Eligibility Criteria

UK citizens must have completed a Bachelors degree. They are eligible to apply for an award if they are undertaking full-time Masters course in their home country and intending to take a semester abroad in Germany. Preferential assessment is given to students who intend to study abroad for the first time.

Only applications with reference to the study of law, economic sciences and engineering will be accepted.
