Award Description

The College of Arts and Law is pleased to offer scholarships for distance learning students, studying doctoral programmes starting in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Applications are welcome from UK, EU and Overseas students wishing to study any discipline within the College's five schools: 

Value of Award

These awards are worth up to £3,000 for full-time Home/EU students and up to £10,000 for full-time Overseas students and are paid as a contribution towards tuition fees. The value of the award will be adjusted pro-rata for part-time students. 

Eligibility Criteria

These awards are open to students worldwide for full- and part-time, standard distance learning doctoral research programmes in the College of Arts and Law.

Applications for funding can only be considered alongside an application to study. 

Applications are also open to current students (although you would need to have at least 12 months of study (or part-time equivalent) in normal registration remaining at the start of the 2020-2021 academic year (excluding thesis awaited/writing-up).

How to Apply

In order to apply, you must be a current student or have completed an application to study. You will then need to complete our online application form. Your application must also be supported by two references.

Only complete applications submitted before the deadline will be considered.
