Social mobility

Young people ages 18-24 in the UK are the most pessimistic about social mobility, with just one in seven thinking their age group has the most opportunity to move up in society.

Social mobility is the link between a person's occupation or income and the occupation or income of their parents. The results of the 2018 Social Mobility report show that generally all people across the age ranges believe it is getting harder for disadvantaged people to move up in society.

Our research aims to ensure people can improve their social mobility. We aim to challenge those in positions of power to promote social mobility.
