Our Postgraduate Cafés are informal social events designed to enable anyone interested in postgraduate study to network with current students of the same or similar subject area.

Come along to find out more about Initial Teacher Education as well as the funding and social side of our vibrant and diverse postgraduate community.

Our Café for Initial Teacher Education will generally begin with a panel of current students discussing their current course with questions welcomed at any point before an open Q&A. With plenty of refreshments throughout the event and use of the venue to network with fellow students, it's a good opportunity to explore postgraduate study with no obligations.

This café event will take place at the University of Birmingham School, 12 Weoley Park Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29 6QU.

The University of Birmingham School, as the first secondary University Training School (UTS) in the country, offers a unique enhancement to all activity of the University of Birmingham's School of Education. This café will provide an exciting opportunity to visit the brand new, purpose-built building located on the University’s Selly Oak campus.
