Students at a Cafe event

Join us on Wednesday 7 December 2022 for a festive Masters and PhD Café to find out more about postgradate life at the University of Birmingham. Our Masters and PhD Café is an informal social event designed to enable anyone interested in postgraduate study to network with current Masters and PhD students.

If you are interested in starting a Masters or PhD course then our Café offers you the perfect opportunity to:

  • Hear current students talk about their course and tell you what it’s really like to be a postgraduate at Birmingham
  • Discuss any questions that you have about postgraduate study in a relaxed and social atmosphere
  • Get advice on the application process and sources of funding
  • Get to know people before beginning your postgraduate study with us

Come along to find out more about studying a Masters and PhD programme at the University of Birmingham. There will be representatives from all of our five colleges: Arts and Law; Social Sciences; Engineering and Physical Sciences; Medical and Dental Sciences; and Life and Environmental Sciences.

Our Café will generally begin with a panel of Masters and PhD students discussing their current course with questions welcomed at any point before an open Q&A. With catering and refreshments throughout the event and a chance to network with fellow students, it's a good opportunity to explore postgraduate study in a relaxed environment!

This event will be taking place in the Teaching and Learning Building in Rooms 109 and 118 with catering served on the first floor foyer.
