Students at a cafe event

Our Café PhD events are informal social events designed to enable anyone interested in postgraduate research to network with current PhD students.

Come along to find out more about the postgraduate experience while studying for a PhD in the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Life and Environmental Sciences and Medical and Dental Sciences. The event will cover both the academic and non-academic aspects of life as a postgraduate student including motivations, the application process, funding, accomodation and wellbeing.

Our Café PhD will generally begin with a panel of postgraduate students discussing their current course with questions welcomed at any point before an open Q&A. With plenty of refreshments throughout the event and opportunity to network with fellow students, it's a good opportunity to explore postgraduate study with no obligations.
