Our Café PhD events are informal social events designed to enable anyone interested in postgraduate study to network with current PhD students.

Come along to find out more about the postgraduate experience while studying for a PhD at the University of Birmingham. The event will cover both the academic and non-academic aspects of life as a postgraduate student - and you can also find out about the funding and social side of our vibrant and diverse postgraduate community.

Our Café PhD will generally begin with a panel of postgraduate students discussing their current course with questions welcomed at any point before an open Q&A. With plenty of refreshments throughout the event and use of the venue to network with fellow students, it's a good opportunity to explore postgraduate study with no obligations.
