Playing and learning with innovative technologies

Dr Karen Guldberg, Director of Autism Centre for Education and Research is working with Head Teacher Ian Lowe (Topcliffe Primary School); Dr Sarah Parsons (University of Southampton) and Dr Wendy Keay-Bright (Cardiff School of Art and Design) to showcase innovative technologies for children on the autism spectrum.

On 1st November 2011, children, parents and teachers are invited to an open day at Topcliffe Primary School. This event will involve pupils, parents and teachers in working with innovative and interactive technologies that have been developed for children on the autism spectrum. Participants will be given the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiences, workshops and discussion.

This event will be complemented by an interactive website ( with resources and opportunity for interaction. The website be open between 8th October and 26th November 2011.
