SCERTS training Day

A one day training event led by Emily Rubin, MS, CCC-SLP

The focus will be on Pre-school/Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum

This day course will introduce the SCERTS model, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary educational approach designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

SCERTS (Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin & Laurent, 2007) is an innovative model for working with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. It provides specific guidelines for helping a child become a competent and confident social communicator, while preventing problem behaviours that interfere with learning and the development of relationships. It is also designed to help families, educators and therapists work cooperatively as a team, in a carefully coordinated manner, to maximize progress in supporting a child.

Intended Audience – This training is most appropriate for:
Educational professionals, SENCOs, therapists and families who are seeking an introduction to the SCERTS Model and guidelines for implementation.

The cost will be £30 for Barnet Practitioners and parents (£60 non-Barnet). There is a group discount available - 3 for price of 2.

The cost includes am/pm refreshments, coffee on arrival and light lunch
